Baby Quilts Galore (well 2 anyway!)

Both baby quilts are now finished.  Woo Hoo.  Just as well, as both babies have been born.

Pirate Quilt first.  Because you've seen that one nearly finished and I like to keep the sense of anticipation(!).  I know, you can hardly contain yourselves with excitement.

There we have it.  All quilted and bound and everything.  The binding's red because the backing is a plain bright green.  You can't really see, but I've quilted around the inside of the big squares with black thread.  Don't let the quilt police know but I do the minimum amount of quilting possible.  It's just not my forte.  Maybe if I ever get around to learning how to do it on my machine.  I was going to quilt around all of the red and/or green shapes.  Then I thought better of it.  So, congratulations to Jayne and Michael on the birth of their son.

Next baby quilt.  This one we weren't sure whether it was for a boy or girl, but I can now congratulate Claire and Gav on the birth of their son.

Fairly random shots there, but you can see the quilting on this one.  It's in yellow slightly in from the edge of the yellow triangles.  Again, as little quilting as I could get away with.

Hopefully the boys will get their quilts in the next couple of weeks.
