Hi, I'm Sandra.
I'm the proud owner of two neices who are the inspiration for this blog. More technically, they're my other half's neices, but most of the time I claim them as my own. They're definitely his neices when they set me seemingly impossible sewing challenges.
I live in County Durham in the north east of England. It's a land where we have Mams (as opposed to Mums or Moms) and bairns instead of children. I'm afraid the odd north east word will probably crop up in my blog from time to time, especially when I'm clagging (sticking) things together.
I've always crafted. I started with knitting, cross stitching and anything else that took my fancy. I still do lacemaking, cardmaking and quilting. I have tried making garments for myself in the past, but they never seem to have turned out quite right. Then I started making costumes for the girls starting with some witches dresses for Halloween 2010 (I think) and it went from there. We've now made our way through costumes for most Disney princesses and a couple of Barbie films.
